This therapeutic styled yoga retreat is presented as a mix of gentle and restorative yoga practices. Whether you go to regular yoga class, or would never go to a regular yoga class thinking you can’t do yoga because you are too tight, too big, too old or too whatever – you can always do therapeutic yoga. The sessions are designed for everyone, different body types, ages, and skill levels., bringing to your body the qualities of stability, strengthening, flexibility, stillness, and a sense of clarity and well – being.

The week is very much a reflection of who Juliet is and her life’s experiences. She invites you to enjoy your ‘me time’ retreat at your own pace – the ultimate aim being to experience the benefits of yoga relevant to your life. She has designed a week that is for anyone who wants to relax, de-stress or just feel good. Your whole body will get a wonderful gentle yet deep stretch, working out old and new spots of tightness – and whilst you work out tightness in the body, you will also work out related tightness in your psyche – an unexpected and exciting side benefit.

You will learn to understand the effects of movement on your body and mind, and adapt your own movements in relation to your physical needs and capabilities. Juliet calls it ‘me time’ as the practice is designed to revitalize and restore your mind, body and spirit whilst always being entertaining and relaxing. You can expect individual attention in your practice: safety and alignment are of key importance. Yoga props are available – mats, belts, blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, and soothing eye pillows.

The sessions are presented indoors and outdoors in the format of morning and evening sessions, including fun filled and relaxed workshops, morning walking meditations, and an informal discussion session about Living Your ‘Me Time’ Yoga – and what this means for you! No pre-reading required, just and interest in your wellness and The Eight Limbs of Yoga by Patanjali (check out Google!) The yoga draws from the traditions of Purna Yoga (Hatha Yoga) and Yin Yoga, and will also include Pranayama (breathing), Yoga Nidra (guided meditation), and Meditations (seated and walking). You will also enjoy creative workshops on Postural Alignment, Energy and Chakra Balancing, Sound Healing and spoken Voice Techniques. Juliet will encourage you to discover your potential on and off the mat.

If you have specific injury or health needs these will be best catered for by emailing Juliet your Attendees Health Check List which will be sent to you when you make a booking.
